Common actions

Edited

There are several actions whose flow is similar across several sections of Eversend.

Working with views

Most sections in Eversend open to display grids of resources such as contact lists, mailer campaigns or Facebook ‘king’ accounts.

A view is a collection of filters and settings applied to a specific grid. Views act as presets for filtering, sorting and displaying data in grids. The currently active view is shown to the right of the section name in the upper-left corner of any given section.

The view management menu

Click on the name of the currently active view to open the view management menu.

The view management menu shows the views belonging to the currently authorized workspace account as well as workspace views.

To add a new view to the menu, press the ‘Create new view’ button. To perform actions on an existing view, hover over it and open the ellipsis menu. The following actions can be done on workspace views.

  • ‘Save as “My View”’: make a copy of the workspace view and add the copy to the views of the currently authorized workspace account.

  • ‘Copy link to share’: copy a link to the view.

The following actions can be done on the account’s views.

  • ‘Copy link to share’: copy a link to the view.

  • ‘Rename View’: change the view’s name.

  • ‘Delete View’: delete the view.

Links to views

Whenever someone clicks on a view link and authorizes inside Eversend, they will automatically be taken to the section to which the view applies. The chosen view will also be set as active.

Modifying views

Whenever a table view changes (e.g., a new filter is applied), Eversend will display view controls in the upper-right corner of the currently opened section.

The controls allow for performing the following actions.

  • ‘Undo’: undo the most recently made change to the view.

  • ‘Redo’: re-apply the most recently canceled change to the view.

  • ‘Save’: modify the view by permanently applying the most recently made change.

  • ‘Discard’: discard the most recently made change to the view.

Managing grids

Filtering data in grids

Data in most grids is filterable.

To apply one or more filters, click on the ‘Filters’ button in the upper toolbar of a table. This will open the following window.

newFilters.png

To the right, the window shows a searchable list of filters that is divided into several categories. Upon clicking on a filter, one the following will occur.

  • Eversend will immediately add the filter to the filters block to the left.

  • Eversend will allow for selecting one or more options within the filter (e.g., a country from the countries list).

After one more filters are chosen, the block to the left will allow for setting values for these filters and applying operators to these values. For example, the ‘City’ filter will display a city name input field as well as a dropdown menu for selecting an operator that should be used to filter based on the text set inside this field.

Tip

To manage the relationship between two or more filters, open the dropdown menu to the right of the ‘Selected filters’ title. Select one of the following options.

  • ‘Match all’: the table will only show data that matches all filters.

  • ‘Match any’: the table will show data that matches at least one filter.

Configuring date ranges

In the Reports section, it is possible to only display data for a certain time period. To do so, click on the date range selector in the upper-right corner.

There are two methods for setting the report date range.

  • By selecting one of the pre-defined date range options in the left column of the date range selector

  • By using the calendar picker in the middle column of the date range selector

In addition, the ‘Timezone’ column allows for specifying the hours/minutes/seconds within the chosen date range as well as the timezone in which these units should be enforced. Eversend can use either the default timezone configured in workplace settings or the timezone chosen in the dropdown menu. After configuring the timezone, use the ‘Time Range’ fields to define a specific time span.

Showing/hiding table columns

Click the cog button in the upper-right corner of any grid to open a menu that allows for showing/hiding columns in the grid. Enable the checkbox next to the column name to display the column or disable it to hide the column.

It is also possible to reorder columns using drag-and-drop.

Using quick actions

The quick action bar appears in the upper-left corner of the screen. By default, all actions in the bar are disabled. Howver, if one or more resources are selected in a table, the bar will enable the buttons for performing the actions that apply to these resources.

The bar takes the form of several icon buttons with each button corresponding to a specific action (such as renaming a campaign).

If the currently authorized account has sufficient permissions, the actions bar always allows for managing access rights to the chosen resources.

Using the context menu

To open a context menu for one or more resources, perform the following actions.

  • Right-click on a resource in any grid

  • Select two or more resources in any grid and right-click on them

Similarly to the quick actions bar, the context menu provides access to several essential actions that can be performed on a resource. The contents of the context menu depend on the type of resource that was right-clicked as well as the number of currently selected resources.

Configuring pagination

Whenever a grid is open, Eversend will display a pagination menu in the upper-right corner of the screen.

In the menu, select the maximum number of resources that should be displayed on one page. Use the right and left arrows to go forward/back one page or scroll to the end/beginning of the grid.

Archiving and restoring resources

It is possible to archive resources in the ‘Infra’ and ‘Traffic’ modules.

When a resource is archived, it is hidden from the UI and cannot be used by other resources. For examples, an archived domain cannot be used by traffic campaigns. Eversend also does not display any statistics about archived resources in the Reports section.

To archive a resource, open the context menu and click on ‘Archive’. Alternatively, choose the same option in the quick actions menu.

info

Resources and resources that depend on them (such as traffic campaigns and the templates that these campaigns are using) are archived separately.

However, if a resource is currently used by another resource, it will be impossible to archive said resource. Eversend will display a warning if such an action is attempted.

Servers

Only servers with the ‘Terminated’ status can be archived. If someone attempts to archive a server with a different status, this server will be terminated automatically before archiving.

Restoring resources is possible from the Archive section inside workplace settings. Read this tutorial to learn more about this action.
